The Nichols family contacted me about this photo shoot and specifically scheduled it around their beautiful daughter’s first birthday. The shots of little C on this fantastic pink chair, surrounded by tutu poof, and smiling up at me… well, let me just say I don’t know how her parents will pick just one. She is a doll.

And older brother J? He’s such a hilarious little fireball. He was waaaay too smart to fall for my usual questions and “no really, don’t smile… give me a grumpy face” manipulations to flash his pearly whites. Nope, that kid saw right through me! But once we got talking he opened right up and had me laughing.

This family is beautiful and their children are nothing short of adorable. Mom and Dad, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did!

Dustin and Brian are long-time friends of ours. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing their wedding and visiting both their boys within 24 hours of their birth to do newborn photos at the hospital… and newborn shoots at home for both guys! I feel like I’ve watched them grow up through my lens, and I just ate up the time with them! K is growing so fast, and S is catching up quickly. They’re going to be great buddies when they’re older.

Mom and Dad are pretty beautiful, it’s no surprise their kids are so incredible!

Nikki and her daughter make a beautiful pair. They’re such a sweet mama and daughter and I loved seeing them interact during our shoot! Little M’s curls were so precious it was all I could do to not twist them around my finger! And her smile was simply contagious. I had such a fun time chasing her around the gardens and soaking up all the smiles. Her mom, grandmom, and I laughed all morning!
